Classes

PlastikKids provides art classes for children between the ages of two and twelve. Each class is tailored to the specific group age.

TODDLER PLAYGROUPS Ages 2-3

The toddler playgroup class is driven by the children’s ideas. This class offers the little ones opportunities to explore shapes, colors, textures through sensory and messy play. Each week the little makers discover a new theme through play and creation stations.

ART GENIUS Ages 4-5

In this workshop, children explore a wide variety of materials and ideas through creative and playful processes. We are very interested in children’s ideas and how they are expressed through their creations. They experiment, play and discover and create in an environment that accepts and encourages their own unique ideas while gaining new skills along with making some new friends.

ART EXPLORERS Ages 5-7

Children create through open-ended activities, where the outcome is never given or specified. After meeting some of the most interesting artists out there they play with ideas and materials to create their own works of art.

ART PLAYERS Ages 7-9

In this art class the children begin to know that through the arts we can make statements and that art can give us food for thought and even can make changes in the world around us. In this class children understand their own important role in the community in which they live. We are interested in their ideas, what inspires them, what they would like to change in the world through their own art, how they can express their dreams and hopes through their artwork and so much more. At the same time, they will get to know movements and artists who brought about significant changes in the world of art. Children will also learn how to present their artwork. This lesson culminates with an art show designed and performed by the young artists.

ART MASTERS Ages 9-12

About

We provide art classes that are driven by children’s ideas and curiosities. We empower every child to express themselves, while fostering creativity and imagination through process based art practices where the final product (artwork) is not specified or given. PlastikKids aims to engage children in meaningful and developmentally appropriate art practices by exploring a wide variety of materials and tools in order to get into processes and techniques such as painting, printing, sculpture etc.

Art teacher

Evgenia, is an art educator with a background in Art Education from French Universities. She holds a bachelor in Art Education from University of Paul Valery III and a masters in ‘New Technologies and Contemporary Art’ from University Paris I Sorbonne . After her studies she worked as a Special Scientist in the department of Education of University of Cyprus teaching ‘Arts in Kindergarten and Primary Schools’. She also contributes in Museum Education Programs, and her special interests place emphasis on child-centered practices. Evgenia is passionate about creating a culture where children are confident in their creative expression, always considering the importance of each kid’s interests and how to elevate their imagination and creativity.
